On Friday, June 3, 2022 at 12:40 pm, the Lord whispered Cindy name and ushered her into eternal rest. Cindy E. Booker was born on March 9, 1963, in Portsmouth, VA to the late Mr. Winfield and Mrs. Rosa Lee Brown. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph D. Booker, Jr. She attended Portsmouth Public Schools and worked at Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth for Professional Contract Services Inc. (PCSI) as a supervisor for 10 or more years were she later retired. Cindy was a kind, generous and caring person and always had a glow with that smile. She loved to have fun and enjoyed being around family and friends. Her favorite scripture was Psalms 23 and her favorite song He know my name by Tasha Cobbs. She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving children, Terrell Brown, Jamal Brown, and Ciara Brown all from Woodbridge, VA. Two-step daughters Gwendolyn Garland of Portsmouth, VA; Veronica Arrington of Chesapeake, VA; two stepsons Joseph D. Arrington of Chesapeake, VA, and Dion Adams (Kamisha) of Portsmouth, VA; three sisters Stella Haskins, Gloria O’Neal (Charles), Linda Stephens (Gary) of Portsmouth, VA; two brothers Dennis Brown (Linda) and Earl Brown all of Portsmouth, VA; a special granddaughter, Dakota “Kody” Brown; a special great grandson, Andree Everett, III “Dink”; 16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Cindy you will truly be missed!!

We were first cousins and whenever we talked she was happy, we laughed, and we always said l will see you later.
