Christopher Lamont Young

Christopher Lamont Young, also known as “C.Y.”, passed away on November 14, 2021 at the age of 46, due to a sudden illness surrounded by his loved one, he transitioned to eternal rest.

Those left to cherish his memory are two sons, Shaikeem Freeman and Calvin Gardner; two daughters, Christyana Taylor and Myteka Gaynor; mother Mildred Young Barnes; step-father Nicolas A. Barnes; two brothers, Nicolas T. Young and Martin Barnes, 14 grandchildren and host of other relatives, siblings and loving friends and the “Love of his Life” KaSonya N. Young.

Chris loved to cook and work at various restaurants around town.  He attended culinary school to master his love for cooking.  To know Chris was to know a caring, loving and compassionate being.  He was always willing to help and share with others.  Never had a selfish bone in his body.  His integrity and pure heart blessed him to be loved by many.  He loved his family and did.
