Christopher George Code, known as “Chris” was born on June 30, 1959 to David George Code Jr. and Vera Beslow Code in the City of Norfolk, Virginia. He was the second child of four siblings; one girl and three boys.
Chris attended Norview High School. He worked for the City of Norfolk in Public Works for several years. After his career with the City of Norfolk, Chris became self-employed as a landscaper.
Chris had an infectious smile, he never met a stranger. He was known and loved by everyone within the neighborhood for his quiet and meek spirit. Chris loved his family and friends and enjoyed the outdoors.
He is predeceased by his mother, Vera Belsow Code and leaves cherished memories for his father, David George Code, Jr; his daughter, Christian Star Code; his grandson, Isaiah Micah Code Zewuge; a sister, Selina Code-Edwards (Elder Ronald Simmons); two brothers, David Bernard Code, III (Tammy) and Jeffrey Cortze Code; and a niece, Autumn Vera Edwards; a host of uncles, aunts, and friends.

I remember growing up in Oakwood, How we would meet up at Aunt Tuni’s house and then walk over to Oakwood Elementary to see “Timmy” performing with the neighborhood guys/group.
