Christine W. Peele was born on April 28, 1945, in Colerain, NC, to the late Luther and Quessie Wiggins.
She attended Norfolk Public Schools. At an early age she became a member of St. Mark United Church of Christ, in Norfolk, VA, where she served on the usher board until the time of her illness.
Christine retired from the City of Norfolk after 36 years of service. She also worked part-time for Chesapeake Public Schools for 10 years after her retirement. Christine enjoyed working out at the gym every morning and was a member of Seniors in Motion line dance group of Norfolk, VA.
She was also a former member of Beulah Temple #4 and the Order of Eastern Star.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughters Regina Land (Jerry) and Chevelle Anderson (James); four grandchildren: Jeremy Land, Breshauna Derr, Jonathan Land, and Brehon Anderson. Four great-grandchildren: Gavin Derr, Mason Derr, Caiden Fletcher, and Breha Anderson. One sister-in-law, Charlie Mae Bray and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Peele, parents Luther and Quessie Wiggins; brother, Randolph Wiggins; two sisters, Erma Hooker and Connie Cobb.
