Chimere Channel Morton affectionately referred to as “Milly” or “Mere” was born January 19, 1982. She was a native or Norfolk. She was the daughter of Marcella A. Harvey and William Douglas Davenport. Chimere was predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Margaret O. Hayes; paternal grandmother, Clara Ferebee and grandfather, Arthur Lee Collins. Chimere attended Norfolk Public and Virginia Beach Public Schools. Chimere was formerly employed as Assistant General Manager of Taco Bell for many years. She was a devoted mother, loving daughter, and strong big sister to Tieele Morton. Always with a smile even during her most difficult times. Her loyalty to and love for her family and friends will always be remembered. She accepted Christ as her Savior by way of her cousin Rosa Garner.

Chimere leaves to cherish her memories one son, J’Mere T. Douglas; one daughter, Ameera O. Douglas; special
daughter, Cyrah Brooks; kids father, James Douglas; siblings, Tieele L. Morton, Levar Reid, William Holloman, Kim Ransom, Kimberly Herrell; one niece, Tanaja Tyson; three nephews, Zyontae Morton, Amheer Johnson, Anthony Harrel, Jr.; a little sister/cousin, Shatara Johnson; two goddaughters, De’Azia Raynor, Treasure Nichols and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
