Charles B. Richardson, Jr. took the Lord’s hand to find eternal peace on January 30, 2025. Charles was born on November 7, 1941, in Kansas City, Kansas, to the late Opal Smith and Charles B. Richardson, Sr.
Charles attended High school in Kansas. After finishing high school, he went to pursue a 20-year career in the United States Navy. After retiring from the Navy, he attended Norfolk State University, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in engineering and graduated with honors and on the dean’s list. Once he had completed college, he went on to pursue a career with IBM and Lockhead Martini for 20 years. Charles was gifted with many trades, such as carpentry, auto mechanics, plumbing, and Electrician. Just to list a few, he loved to read and play his computer games. Charles was loving, caring, and devoted, always had encouraging words, and was always there for his family, near and far.
Charles leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Shirley Richardson; children: (Deceased) Charles B. Richardson, III, Jacquelyn Springs, Joseph E. Richardson; children through marriage: Brain, Kevin and Rodney Jordan; grandchildren: Christina Richardson, (Deceased) Charles Richardson, IV, Brian M. Richardson, Xian Richardson, Mya N. Springs, Kindra Springs, Charles Springs, Jr. and a host of great-grand and great-great grand. Our loved ones will be missed but never forgotten. We acknowledge that the will of God must be done and that God makes no mistakes.
Charles, we love and miss you greatly.
