Charles E. Hyman, Jr.

Charles Edward Hyman Jr., 59 of 1766 Kingsway Road in Norfolk, Virginia went home to be with the LORD on April 13, 2021.  He was born on February 7, 1962.  He leaves to mourn his death, his father Charles E. Hyman Sr., mother Sheila Ballard Hyman and his loving wife Alethea M. Hyman, son Charles E. Brown, sisters Angela Riddick (William), Gwendolyn Hyman-Biggs, Sheila Hyman-Barnes. Sister in laws Charlene Taylor (Henry), Sharon McPherson (Tyrone), brother in law Charles Johnson Jr. (Crystal). He leaves to cherish his memories, grand kids, Charlai Brown, Charnyah Brown, Charles E. Brown Jr. , great grand child, Nyla Brown and a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.   

Charles Jr. was born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School.  He was employed by ILA as a Longshoreman, Local 1248 for over 23 years.  He was a dedicated and hardworking employee and will be truly missed by his co-workers in Gang 60-1248. 

Charles E. Hyman Jr., who we all loving called “Top or TC” was a very kind man with a humble spirit.  He was loved by everyone who knew him.  He was always willing to help any and everyone.  He was a loyal son, husband, brother, dad, grandfather, uncle and dear friend.  Top was a devoted husband and great provider for his wife Alethea, whom he lovingly called “Clyde” .  Their union together lasted for over 41 years.  His son, grand kids, great granddaughter, nieces and nephews truly loved and adored him.  Words cannot express how much he will be missed by everyone who loved and had the pleasure to meet him.   

We all know that Charles E. Hyman Jr., is now in his final resting place in Heaven where the LORD was waiting for him with Open Arms.  Rest now Good and Faithful Servant.  GOD Loves You and We All Do Too.  GOD BLESS

    I am at a loss for words. I didn’t think you would leave us so soon. Its still hard to grasp that you won’t be around. No more joking and laughing with you. I know that God has sent his angels to bring you home for the rest you so deserve. Go knows the time and place. Please know that you will NEVER be forgotten. Until we meet again.

    I’m so sorry for your loss , TC was a good man a hard worker and very proud to call him my friend. He was a big part of gang 60 , he is missed every job .
