June 3, 2020 at 6:12 pmCelia Moore was one of the best teachers we ever had at Nansemond Parkway. She could instantly turn around the toughest kids and keep them all inline. She did it by being firm but loved every child she taught. I’m sure every one of her students could tell what a difference she made in their young lives.

June 4, 2020 at 8:54 amI was saddened to hear of Celia Moore’s passing. When I think back on how Celia blessed my family by being all 3 of my children’s kindergarten teacher, I can’t help but smile. She was a Master Teacher! I remember volunteering in her classroom at every opportunity I could get just to see her in action. I hated to leave because it was just so much fun! I told her this when she retired from Nansemond Parkway Elementary years ago, Thank You Celia for showering the children in Suffolk with your Love! The Nelson family holds you in our hearts forever…❤️

June 5, 2020 at 7:05 pmI can attest to Celia aka Ms. Broady inspiring her students to learn, to triumph, to excel and to make a difference. She was the epitome of what constitutes a True Teacher! She loved her students unconditionally and saw a star in every life she touched. MS. Broady was my kindergarten teacher! She inspired me to want to teach kindergarteners, to pursue education in general. In my journey in education, I experienced teaching as a substitute teacher then as a para professional and now a school secretary, all because of, MS. Broady, Celia Moore; Who took me into her home and loved me not only as a student, but like a daughter. She will be truly missed. My deepest condolences to her family. God bless! RIP…MS. BROADY.❤
