Celestine E. Painter 65, passed away on February 10, 2021, she was born December 8, 1955 in Norfolk, VA to the late Leroy and Helen Painter. She worked for the U.S. Attorney’s office for 30 years.
 She was predeceased by five brothers and two sisters, Darlene Lassiter and Helen Jackson; nephew, Barry L. Painter; and brother-in-law, Barry Willoughby.
Celestine leaves to cherish her memory, son, Reginald Painter (Rhonda); three grandchildren, Reginae, Reginald, Jr. and Deandre Keeling; two sisters, Evelyn Willoughby and Leona Thorne; one brother, Nathaniel Painter; one brother in law, Grady Lassiter, special niece, Angela Lassiter and a special nephew, Anthony Lassiter. Celestine also leaves to cherish her memories, a host of Nieces, Nephews and relatives and friends.

    My condolences to the family. Ms. Celestine was a beautiful soul. I met her through my dearly departed mother-n-law. I would often see her in church and she always something encouraging to say. She will be truly missed, and I pray that her memories and love for God will carry you through these difficult times.

      First and foremost, I send my deepest condolences to Celestine’s immediate family and friends; I pray for your strength during this time. I met Celestine at my previous job, and from day one she always extended a helping hand to me and continued to do so after I left. I will certainly miss her laughter and joyful spirit.     Sending my deepest condolences to Celestine’s family. I will miss her direct talks and words of encouragement. In our last conversation we discussed the importance of knowing God and being prepared to answer his call. I am confident that Celestine knew the Lord and gladly answered when he called her name.     So very sorry for your loss. Prayers to the family and all those who loved Celestine. Celestine was a big part of my life the last 2 1/2 years. We shared so many laughs with each other. I will miss her big laugh and her sayings that would make us both bust out laughing. I know she is in the loving arms of God and smiling and laughing. Until we meet again my friend you will remain in my thoughts and in my heart.
