Cecelia Bailey

The Lord called Cecelia Elizabeth Bailey home on April 6, 2025, at the age of 83. Cecelia, affectionately known as Cile, was born on March 23, 1942, in Charleston, SC, to the late Rebecca and Frank Bailey. She was predeceased by her seven siblings.

Cecelia was a beloved member of her family and community, known for her kindness, warmth, and the joy she brought to those around her. She cherished spending time with her loved ones and Bobbitt Midrise friends, filling their lives with laughter and unforgettable moments.

Cecelia is survived by one daughter, Theresa Saunders; five sons, Keith Bailey, Elden Bailey (Miriam), Mark Bailey (Iris), Donell Bailey, and Kevin Bailey (Raevalin); thirteen grandchildren, Keishonna Brown, Jessica Bailey, Lawrence Saunders (Nija), Anthony Saunders, Keisha Saunders, Michael Saunders, Keith Bailey, Jr., Jada Bailey, Jaszmine Bailey, Mark Bailey, Jr., Paul Bailey, Elden Bailey, Jr. (Cynthia), and Louis Bailey; nine great-grandchildren, Aniya Bailey, Xavier Saunders, Lawrence Saunders, Jr., Leonard Saunders, Lennox Saunders, Nigel Saunders, Jakhia Goldsborough, Jurnee Goldsborough, and Justice Goldsborough; a special niece Linda Hardy; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
