Catherine Rogers

Sunrise: November 30, 1930

Sunset: March 31, 2025

Catherine Rogers went to be with her Lord and Savior on 03/31/2025 at the age of 94 in Virginia Beach, Va. Catherine was born in Seaboard, NC to the late West Justice and Augusta White. Catherine was preceded in passing by her husband James Rogers, her daughter Anna Augusta Teele (Tom), and granddaughter Delores Teele (Rylee). Catherine retired from Mandel Key Foods after 30 years of service.

Catherine was an amazing sister, aunt, grandmother, cousin, and friend to many she was a truly special person full of warmth kindness and humbleness, she had a way of making everyone feel at home, whether you were family or a stranger. Her laughter and smile were contagious, her advice was always sincere, and her love was unconditional. She gave so much of herself to those around her and never asked for anything in return.

She had a light about her gentle but strong. She taught us how to be generous, how to be patient, and how to find joy in the simple moments. Whether it was through her cooking, baking or just sitting with you in silence, she made you feel loved. She was a devoted member of the Philadelphia Church of Christ’s Disciples #2.

We were lucky to have her in our lives, and though our hearts are heavy, we carry her memories with us always. Her spirit lives on in the kindness we show, the love we give, and the memories we cherish.

Ms Catherine Rogers was a sweet lady that I had a pleasure to work for and she had a heart of gold. She was so kind and would do anything she could for anyone. She could cook really good also. I loved Ms Catherine. She was a beautiful lady inside and out. I could talk to her about anything and she would give me good advice. She will truly be missed. My prayers and condolences go out to the family… Until we see her again in the new world in a paradise where they will be no more sickness and death as Revelation 21: 3 and 4 says.. and God will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more . Neither will mourning nor outcry or pain be anymore… the former things have passed away.🙏♥️
