Carrie Lee Judge

Sunrise: May 9, 1972

Sunset: March 4, 2025

With profound sorrow and deep love, we announce the passing of Carrie Lee Judge, a woman of immense strength, compassion, and unwavering dedication to those she loved and served. She departed this life on March 4, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a legacy that will endure in the hearts of all who knew her.

Born on May 9, 1972, in Norfolk, Virginia, Carrie was born to the parents of Lorene Judge and is predeceased by her father, Calvin Boyd Judge, Sr. Carrie was a light in the lives of many, a woman whose presence could turn any space into a place of warmth and comfort. For many years, she dedicated herself to the Southeastern Virginia Training Center, where she was more than just an employee—she was a mentor, a guide, and a source of unwavering support. Her work was not just a job; it was a calling, a way to uplift others and ensure that everyone she encountered felt seen and valued.

Beyond her professional achievements, Carrie was the heart of her family. She was a mother whose love knew no bounds, whose wisdom was a guiding force, and whose sacrifices were made with quiet strength and grace. She poured her soul into nurturing those around her, always placing the needs of others before her own, always offering a listening ear, a steady hand, and a heart full of unconditional love.

Her kindness radiated far beyond her immediate circle. She was a safe harbor for friends, a counselor to those in need, and a beacon of love in a world that can so often feel unkind. Her laughter was a melody that soothed troubled hearts, her faith was unshakable, and her presence was a gift to all who had the honor of knowing her.

Carrie leaves behind her daughters, Chantae Judge and Chanteria Judge, and her three amazing grandchildren, Jeniyah Judge, A’mir Dean, and Nyla Judge, her sister, Felicia J. Green, brother, Calvin Boyd Judge, Jr., her loving nieces, Daijah Judge and Chakia Pryor, brother-in-law, Tonio Green, and son-in law, Justin Dean. Carrie had a host of aunts, a loving uncle, and cousins. She was also a loving godmother to Mynisha George. Family that she loved deeply, who will carry forward her spirit, her lessons, and her boundless love. Though her physical presence is no longer with us, her essence lingers in the lives she touched, the kindness she spread, and the love she so freely gave.

Extended Family whom she deeply loved, Denice George, Patricia Alexander, Ruth Brown, Monica Pratt, Crystal Alexander, Tracey Smith, Quiana Mcclain, and all of her beloved friends at her job, Southeastern Virginia Training Center.
