Carolyn J. Robinson, a native of Portsmouth, VA, transitioned on March 11, 2025. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ella Garrett, who birthed her on January 19, 1947. She was also preceded in death by two husbands, Willie T. Brooks, Sr., and Howard D. Robinson, and nine of her siblings.
Carolyn is survived by her son, Willie Thomas Brooks, Jr. (Lori) of Portsmouth, VA. Carolyn is survived by two granddaughters, LaShay Robertson and Sheenita Robertson; four siblings, David K. Garrett (Lorraine) and Thomas E. Garrett (Valerie) of Maryland, Rasheedah Salaam aka Etta Garrett (Teen) of Milwaukee, WS, Cynthia G. Williams (Steven) of Fleming Island, FL. and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Carolyn was a dedicated and loyal employee committed to helping others. She retired from Maryview Medical Hospital, aka Bon Secours, and the Holiday House with more than 40 years of service each. She will be missed by numerous families, friends, and colleagues.
