Late Sunday night on December 17, 2023, God extended his hands to his Beautiful Sweet Child Carol Evelyn Grier Sydnor, and invited her to be one of his Angels. Carol was born on January 18, 1943 in Norfolk, VA to the late Charles Henry Grier, Sr. and Evelyn Grier Wilson. Carol sometimes called MomaZ, was a member of Basilica of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception. Carol enjoyed being the treasurer for the Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary. She was a consistent giver for the Organizations such as The Salvation Army, St. Jude Research Hospital, and The Union Mission. She cheerfully served wherever she was needed. Her ministry was not just in the church, but also outside with her family, friends, and whomever was in her present. She loved being a servant for the Lord! Carol graduated from Booker T. Carol was more than just a mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She was a jokester, a helper, a giver, a lover who radiated love wherever she would go. She just had this quiet, meek, humble spirit that would impact many people lives whenever you were in her presences. Carol’s career as a nurse throughout her life was so befitting for her. She was so patient and caring for others, understanding, a great listener, so thoughtful when it came to helping others, reliable, sweet, and showed unconditional love to all. She was an amazing person in her life time, who was loved by so many. She just had a heart of gold. Carol was predeceased by her Two Sons: Darryl Williams, and Robert Louis Williams. She also was predeceased by her late husband Ronald Spencer Sydnor also known as “Boo.” She loved her “Boo” unconditionally and always stated that he was her “Soul Mate.” Carol leaves to cherish her memories: One daughter: Adriane Bell, Former Daughter-in-law: Pastor Dawn Williams Grandchildren: Khiera Williams, Tristan Williams, Micheal Bell, Nehemiah (K’Lynn), Brandon Moore, Riah Williams, Robert Williams III (Natasha), Darryl Biddle, Darelle Biddle, Dominique Morris, and Deonte Morris Siblings: Leon Freeman, Joseph Wilson Jr (Lena), Jerome Wilson (Julie), Sherry Wilson-Hymons (Oscar Jr.), Carnell Wilson, and Anthony Wilson and a Host of Great Grand, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.

Ms. Carol was like a second mom to me. She and my mom Martha were very close friends. They enjoyed a very good relationship throughout the years. Although I had not seen her in years, I will always remember her smile and the kindness she bestowed upon my mother and my siblings and
    I. Rest easy sweet lady, until we meet again.
