Carl was one of four children born on November 30, 1948 to the late Elbert C and Rosa Spady in Norfolk, Virginia. He is preceded in death by his son Eric Ventell Spady of Norfolk, Virginia and his siblings Barbara Redman, Rosa C Haynes & brother Elbert “Lee” Spady all of Philadelphia, PA.
Carl departed this life on September 27th, 2022. He attended Booker T. Washington High School, where he later went on to join the United States Navy in 1966. He also did a short stint of time as a Merchant Seamen. After his travel time he returned to Virginia where he got a job at Sentara Health Care, known to his co-workers as Big Daddy” with his great smile and personality. He later retired from Sentara in 2018 and at that time he met Felicia M Ensley (Fiance’) whom he was planning to marry. Carl also had a very special love for a special friend (Trigger) teacup yorkie. They both will truly be missed.
Carl Spady is survived by his son Carlton R. Spady and his grandson C’Keem Sherman McCoy, granddaughter Kaia Spady (daughter of the late Eric Spady) and his great grandkids Ke’Miyah Auria McCoy,
C”Keem Sherman McCoy Jr, Jah’Kolby Sincere Outerbridge of Norfolk, Virginia, Jason Ventell Spady of Chesapeake, Virginia, nephews; James Scoby, Robert Scoby both of Norfolk, Virginia, neices; Vickie Jones & Valerie Scoby both of Norfolk, Virginia and Tiffany Outlaw of Chesapeake, Virginia, 2 Aunts; Barbara Patterson of Norfolk, Virginia & Shirley Patterson of Mitchville, Maryland and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
