Calvin Leon Rodgers better known as “Cadillac” Rodgers, was called to eternal rest on June 09, 2022 in Chesapeake, VA. He was a native of North Hampton County, NC born June 22, 1953. The son of the late Johnnie Rodgers and Magertha Young.
“Cadillac” as he is formerly known, attended John F Kennedy High School in Suffolk, VA. He worked tirelessly as a stage builder with Hunnington Ingalls formerly known as Newport News Shipyard before becoming disable. Prior to, Calvin was a contractor at different shipyards as a tank cleaner. Calvin was also employed at Smithfield Packing for over 10 years.
Cadillac Calvin had a great love and passion for his children and family and he proved it. Calvin leaves to cherish his memory: His stepfather Melvin Young of Suffolk, VA, 5 children, daughter Sheerinita “Buffy” Lawrence of Chesapeake, VA, son Jacobi “LilBit” Frazier, stepson Lamont “Redd” Frazier daughter Lynnette Nate King all of Portsmouth, VA and daughter Sheba Sherenita Frazier-Mills (Shawn) of Chesapeake, VA. 7 siblings, 3 sisters, Edna Rodgers of Norfolk, VA, Deborah Mundy (Aldridge) and Ozella Rodgers both of Portsmouth, VA. 4 brothers Johnnie Rodgers of Suffolk, VA, Donnell Rodgers (Tenita) of Portsmouth, VA, Rufus Rodgers of Norfolk, VA, and Jacobi Rodgers of Portsmouth, VA. Calvin has 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A devoted friend Jacqueline “Jackie” Sykes and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
