Calvin Eugene Bazemore

On May 17, 2023 God called Calvin Eugene Bazemore to his heavenly home.  He was affectionately known as Baz.  He was born on September 15, 1955 in Suffolk, Virginia at Obici Hospital to Rosella Bazemore Holman and Edward Moore.

Calvin was preceded in death by his newborn son, Calvin Bazemore Jr., his mother Rosella Bazemore Holman, his sister Carolyn Yvonne Bazemore Green, and a nephew DeLacey Ward Sr.

Calvin was formerly employed at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth.  He served in the U.S. army and was honorably discharged.

He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in earlier years and recommitted recently.  Calvin enjoyed dancing, laughter, and a good time with all.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving son, Shon Grant; grandchildren, Keyshawn, Kayla, ShaTavia, Jasmine and Quintral; sisters, Patricia Bazemore and Doris Ward (Bruce); Nieces and Nephews, Takeala ‘Kitty’, ShaVondrea ‘Kita’, Tamiya, ‘Miya’, Meme, Trent (Kim), Tomiko, Monte, and Kenté;  and a host of relatives and friends.
