Broderick “Ricky” Moore took his eternal rest on August 25, 2020.
Ricky was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey on November 28, 1962 to the late George Moore Sr. and the late Ruth Moore as the 11th of 12 children.
After his family relocated to Virginia, Ricky attended Norview High School and worked in construction as a painter. He always loved a good laugh and would often tell stories about being in the “war’ although he was never enlisted in the military.
Ricky was passionate about good music especially “The Gap Band” where he would listen to his favorite song “You dropped a bomb on me’ repeatedly. An advent football fan nothing could compare to his beloved Dallas Cowboys, both would ignite that infectious smile and excitement he brought. His zest for life and his willingness to help others was part of his personality and known to everyone whom he came in contact with.
He was predeceased by his brothers George Moore Jr., Clint Moore, Lawrence Moore, Eric Moore and two sisters Angie Coleman and LaVern Elliott.
Ricky leaves to cherish his memory brothers Johnny Moore (Denise) and Michael Moore of Atlantic City, NJ. Brothers Garry Moore, Jerry Moore and a sister Marion Riddick all of Norfolk, VA. One uncle Jonus P. Moore of Maryland. Three special nieces Tennille Brock (DeShawn), Terrie Moore and Tracee Thompson of Norfolk, VA along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
