Bobby Wayne Braden, Sr. was born on October 3, 1947 to the late Edward and Harriet Calbert Braden in Lynnville, TN. When Bobby was born he was not alone; he was accompanied by his twin sister Mary Elaine and during his last days he was still being supported by his twin. He would summon her in the wee hours of the morning by calling her name. She would go to him and he would put in his food requests. She would feed him for as long as he would eat and sometImes it would only be just bread and butter. Bobby was one of seven children. He departed this life on Friday March 29, 2024. After the death of his mother, he was nurtured by his Grandmother, Nettie Louise Cox Braden.
He was affectionately known by Friends and family as Dad, Grand Daddy and Chief. Because he was a twin his Grandmother would say their names together when calling them and that was, “Waynie and Lainie”. He was united in Holy Matrimony with Anna Lee Armstrong in 1968 until his death. During the 56 years of marriage one boy and two girls were born.
He received his education from Round Hill and Waco schools in Lynnville, TN and Bridgeforth High School in Pulaski, TN, where he played football and graduated. Bobby was raised on his family’s farm and learned what hard work was. It was evident and he continued his hard work as he joined the Navy at the age of 17 years old in 1965 with a signature giving permission from his father, and retired February of 1989. After serving his country for 24 years he continued his working career. He always had a desire to drive an eighteen Wheeler and that is exactly what he did until it started to affect his health. After retirement his true passion was working and beautifying his and his neighbors yards.They were immaculate!
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Harriet Braden; Grand Parents, Jordan and Nettie Cox Braden; Son, Bobby Wayne Braden II; Siblings, Edward Martin, Edward Jordan, Ernest Lewis and Gene Noble Braden.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory; his loving and devoted wife, Anna Lee Armstrong Braden, who nurtured their children during all of the endeavors undertaken by Bobby. She has continuously been by his side during his time of illness and answered every call made to her until he transitioned to his new address.; Children, Edrina Braden Greene of Jacksonville, FL., Jamila Braden of Virginia Beach, VA, Son-In-Law, Shawn Greene (Kristina) of Jacksonville, FL;

April 3, 2024 at 12:24 amBobby was ageless in our family. A wonderful warm man with a great sense of humor and a marvelous love for our large Cox and Braden family. He never missed an opportunity to visit any time he was close to the Midwest or South. I was blessed to also visit him in Virginia. He was a great story teller with notable recall. Bobby will be missed but the love we shared will live into eternity. Condolences to Anna and the family! Love, Cousin Brenda
