June 10, 2021 at 11:48 amDear Family,
I had the privilege of working with Bobby for almost 20 years at NOB. We worked in partnership to ensure ships were mission ready at all times. Never was there a time when I or my LSC team mates called or visited pier 8 that Bobby didn’t ensure that he and his team worked with us. I also had the privilege of worshipping with him and Chaplain Essie at Faith Deliverance Christian Center. He was a faithful Deacon, Coworker and friend and it didn’t matter whether I saw him at work or church, when we said hello and how are you, he would always reply, “Blessed by the Best!” I now envision him walking in heaven and holding hands with his beloved Essie. My prayers are with you all at this very difficult time.

June 16, 2021 at 6:44 pmI have not seen Bobby Ray since we graduated from West Montgomery. But when I saw that smile in the picture I also smiled – it hadn’t changed a bit, the same smile he always had & like he had in the huddle when he would say “they never throw me the ball”. (Bobby Ray was our Right End) Rest in peace, my old teammate.
