Bishop Alton “Tony” Newsome was and shall ever be one of the most influential men in my life! It’s often said of anyone that makes a profound impact on someone’s life that “there will never be another one like them”. Oh, how this rings true for me of this man! His teaching of God’s word, the examples of living a godly and holy life, his generosity (in all forms), his counsel, our casual talks, his humor, his selflessness, his perseverance, his hugs and laughter and much more will I remember for the rest of my days. He loved my family and they loved him. I’m pleased that God chose him to be my pastor. To God be the glory for the great things He has done. I bow in humbleness to His will.
Love always, Cindy

I met Bishop in the spring of 2023 at the day care center we spoke about the Lord,I knew that then he had the favor of God.He told me when the Lord come he will be ready
Condolences and prayers for the Family. Praying for the members of BibleWay Holiness Church as you Celebrate the Life of Bishop Newsome. Memories are Forever!
May God continue to comfort Bishop’s Family and his Bibleway Holiness Church Family during this time. He had a humble spirit, beautiful smile and a heartt for serving God’s people. He truly earned his wings. Earth has no sorrow that God cannot heal. Be Blessed. 🙏🏾
On behalf of Pastor Victor Cooper and Full Gospel True Mission Church, our condolences to Lady Beverly Newsome and family, and Bibleway Holiness Church.
Our prayers, thoughts and comfort are continually with you all.
May God comfort and strength you all in your time of sorrow and mourning.
“Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.”
May the God of our salvation keep us and help us to be ready, not get ready, but truly be ready when our day comes. Jesus said, if any of you want to come with me, you must forget yourself, and carry your cross, and follow me. This man carried his cross. He didn’t make excuses, but he knew the charge and made it clear to all those he knew to be about the Father’s business. He truly loved God and God’s people. God said, “feed my sheep” and he did just that to the very end. He will truly be missed. May the peace, comfort and strength of God be with the Newsome Family and the Bibleway Holiness Church Family. My prayers are with you all.🙏🏾💕

My heart is so sadden with Tony’s passing but God knows best and he makes no mistakes. . Tony and I have been friends for years he was in my morning prayer and inspiration group . Tony was always there. Leaving a song of encouragement on mother’s answering machine, there to visit her with his brother and sister.. Always there to comfort his fellow man.
Bev my heart goes out to you and the family.
Rest well dear brother until we meet again❤️.
