Billy Leon Hill, Jr. aka Black Gangsta was born July 23, 1976 to Jennette Hill and Billy Thomas, raised by Mitchell Boyd in Portsmouth, VA. On Thursday November 12, 2020, Billy slipped away peacefully at Maryview Hospital. Billy attended Woodrow Wilson High School. He loved sports and was a diehard Redskins fan. His hobbies were swimming and music. Billy was an excellent carpet layer. To know him was to love him.

He leaves many to cherish his memories his wife, Angel Martin Hill; six children, Billy Barnes, Ahjonae Palmer, Asia Palmer, Brandon Martin, Armon Palmer, and Ziquan Hill; two grandchildren, Taliyah Warren and Billy Potee; his mom, Jennette Madison (Jimmy) and Mitchell Boyd; five sisters, Athena Tyson, Brittany Hill, Natasha Walker (Mike), Catherine Madison and Latoya Nixon; five brothers, Emmanuel Nixon, Mitchell Boyd Jr., Ralph Rivers, Richard Madison and James Grenne; three uncles, Clifton Hill, Louis Bullock, Dwayne Perry; three aunts, Catherine Hill, Emma Jean Pierce and Monica Scott; eighteen nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Lorraine Saunders and father-in- law, Ollie Waters and host of cousins and friends.

We will miss our loved one but we know he is in a better place. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

You will finish living the best of your life in heaven with our father. I’m so sorry I didn’t get to you in time to spend brother time. Just know that I do love you bro. Until I come home.
