Bill Eugene Martin

Bill Eugene Martin was born September 1, 1961 to the late William Whitley Sr. and Shirlon Whitley in Norfolk, VA.  He was lovingly known by all as Geno.  Geno was united in marriage with Captoria Williams Martin, and to this union two children were born.  Geno also had two older children from his first marriage.

At an early age Geno became an auto mechanic in Portsmouth, VA.  He then when on to work for FedEx where he worked for over 18 years and was stilled employed there when he passed away.

Geno loved fishing, Star Wars movies, Lord of the Ring movies, and playing video games.  He loved football and was a die-hard Raiders fan.  Cooking on the grill for his family was one of his favorite things to do.  Sunday dinners with the family were very special to Geno.  He wanted to spend his Sundays hanging out with his children and grandchildren.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Captoria Williams Martin; his children Nakia Meadows, Martise Martin, Geno Martin, and Markia Martin.  His mother, Shirlon Whitley; his siblings, Marion Martin, Glennis Whitley, Vettra Whitley, and William Whitley, Jr.  His Grandchildren Breon Still, Jovon Still, Zha’Tise Martin, London Martin, Khali Martin, and Lydia Martin.  He also leaves behind his FedEx Family, his in-laws, and a whole host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
