It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Beverly Ann Alston, a beautiful and sweet soul who left this world on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. She was a shining light in the lives of all who knew her, with a radiant spirit and a boundless love for those around her.
Born to Charles and Annie Wilkins on January 7, 1946, Beverly professed hope in Christ at an early age as a member of the Mother Church of God in Christ. At her time of death, she was a devoted member of the New Hope Church of Deliverance under the leadership of Pastors Clement and Evelyn Murphy.
Beverly retired from her work as a Billing Clerk for Fresenius Medical Center after 27 years. After that, she worked part-time at a Clinical Research Center for a short time.
Beverly was a woman whose heart knew no bounds. She had a gift for making everyone she met feel special, her warmth and kindness touching countless lives. Her laughter, stories and her boundless energy will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
She was married to the love of her life, Willie E. Alston, Jr., for nearly 58 wonderful years. Their marriage, which would have marked 58 years in April 2025, was a testament to devotion, partnership, and unwavering love. Together, they built a beautiful family, which brought her the greatest pride and joy.
Beverly was endlessly proud of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family. She celebrated every achievement, big and small, with genuine excitement, and her love for her family was unmatched.
Her lively conversations and her ability to light up a room with her presence were just a few of the many qualities that made her so beloved, never short on conversation, laughter, or knowledge, of whatever topic put on the table. To know Beverly, was to be loved unconditionally and wholeheartedly.
In addition to her parents, Beverly is preceded in death by four siblings, Walter (Walt) Harrison, Charles (Butch), Don and Carlos Wilkins, and two stepsons, Willie E. Alston, III (Billy) and Christopher (Chris) Alston.
She leaves behind her devoted husband, Willie E. Alston, Jr., her loving children, Patrick W. Alston (Kellye) of Virginia Beach, VA, Charles M. Alston (Renee) of Norfolk, VA, two stepchildren, Keith Alston of Virginia Beach, and Lisa Chinn (Tommy) of Manassas, VA, her cherished grandchildren, Keith M. Alston (Haley) Taylor D. Alston (Darell) Ashleigh B. Burnell, Kennedy B. Alston (Corey) Chandler N. Alston, Logan P. Alston, four great-grandchildren, Orion, Khiro, Bohdi, and Aeson, three bonus grandchildren, Nicholas Bertrand, Serena and Mia Littlejohn, two sisters, Sandra Burrell (Jerry) and Ella (Fifi) Worsham, two sisters-in-law, Wilhelmenia (Sugar) Jones and Saundra (Peaches) Sims (Stanford), a brother-in-law, George Alston, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great friends and a legacy of love that will endure forever in the hearts of those she touched.

January 26, 2025 at 1:31 pmGod bless you Cousin Billy and Alston Cousins.
We know this time maybe difficult! We can’t help but miss our love ones went they leave. So I always say, let’s remind ourselves of how blessed we are to have had our love one for so many close and wonderful days.
Yes, it hurts us left behind. Even our Lord a Savior Jesus Christ who is the only one who had the power to change things, and yet even Jesus, wept!
I pray you can take comfort in the fact that, for our love ones, to be absent from the body, are to be present with the Lord. They live! They live on not only in our hearts and memories, but they live with our heavenly Father as well. I know that might sound cliché but it is our hope.
Jesus said, I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. John 11:25-26
We believe this!
Christ our Lord died to give us the gift of eternal life with Him. Praying 🙏🏾
With Love, Cousins Haywood and Linda Taybron
