Betty Mae Clay was born on December 15, 1939 in Meridian, Mississippi to the late Bob Clarke and Lottie Mae Clarke. Betty departed this life on Thursday, November 20, 2018.
She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, which brought her great joy and she served faithfully for 38 years. She retired from AT&T. She showed loved and was loved. She loved her ministry work. She was a friend to all with compassion and always willing to lend an ear. She will be missed.
Betty was predeceased by her husband, Carl Clay. Left to cherish her memories: two daughters, Belinda Gee, Althea Tamar Sloan; two sons, Michael Brown, Anthony Clay; ten grandchildren, Shamara Brown, Louis Eric Williams, Brandin Brown, Airielle Gee, Prize Brown, Brianna Brown, Nicolle Sloan, Hailoana Sloan, Michael Anthony Brown, and Kyle Brown; three great grandchildren, Durondre Jones, Amari Gee, and Nyla Daye; niece, Audrey Hatten; a large spiritual family, beloved friends and her spiritual daughter, Linda Richardson and husband, John.
