Betty Ann Brown

Betty Ann Brown was born in Baltimore, Maryland, January 21, 1940 to the late Willie Mae and Taswell Bright. She graduated from James Solomon Russell High School in Lawrenceville, Virginia. She went on to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. She worked at Commonwealth Assistant Living Community for over 20 years. While working there she
displayed her peaceful, nurturing personality, which caused her to be greatly cherished by her residents and co-workers. Due to her hardworking mannerism and dedication she was
recognized and awarded multiple times for employee of the month.

She was a member of New Bethel Church under the late Elder Nathaniel Wrenn for many years. She continued to serve under her Pastor Dr. A.D. Lillard until her passing. At
church she was known as “Mother Brown.” She participated in activities at church such as bible study, Sunday school and vacation bible school. She was also on the Mother’s Board
and the president of the Pastor’s Aides. She was a faithful server of the Lord, a spectacular cook, a loving mother and a caring nana. She also had a love for sewing, reading and long walks.

Betty Ann Brown, age 79, gained her wings on April 8, 2019. She will be joining in Heaven, her parents and brother Morris. Her memory will be kept in the hearts of her siblings; James,
Lillie, Janie (Jean) and Franklin; beloved children, Debra, Yolanda, Zina, Michelle and Charles Jr.; grandchildren, Breshawna, Seriehl, Britia, Nicolas, Zainab, Charles III and
Alexis; along with many friends and family.
