Bethany Yvette Clemons (affectionately known as Beth) departed this life on August 19th surrounded by her loving family. Beth was predeceased by her brother, W. F. Clemons Jr.(Frankie), Paternal grandfather and grandmother, Allen Sr. and Annie Clemons, Maternal grandfather, James W. Spencer, Great-grandmother, Ester Smith, and Uncles, Robert Brown, Prentice Spencer, Cleodis Johnson and Darnell Spencer.
Beth was born on July 4, 1967 in Norfolk, VA. She was educated in Norfolk & Chesapeake, VA public school systems. She graduated from Indian River High School in 1985 and became a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1987. Beth was a very loving, empathetic and compassionate person who enjoyed helping others, especially those in need. She utilized her nursing skills while employed at Tidewater Detention Home, Camp 22 Womens Correctional Facility, and Norfolk General Hospital.
Beth loved God and gave her life to him several years ago. She renewed her faith and joined Calvary Revival Church of Chesapeake. She was very grateful for her life, her friends and family and always remembered to say “thank you” for any and all act of kindness bestowed upon her. Beth was a funloving person who enjoyed playing games, singing, joking and most of all cooking for her loved ones. She was dependable and if she said he was going to do something, it was done!
Beth leaves to cherish her memories; her loving and devoted mother Delores Clemons (Chesapeake), her loving and devoted father, W. Frank Clemons Sr & step mother Vicki (Chesapeake), her loving & devoted daughters, Brooke T. D. Clemons and Bryah K. Clemons (Chesapeake), two grand children Elijah R. Rivera and Sanai E. Rivera (Chesapeake), a loving and devoted Grandmother Doris L. Spencer (Norfolk), a special daughter Dionne A. Spencer (NY), two special sons Blake Jackson (Chesapeake) and Brock Jackson (Richmond), Uncles and Aunts: Allen Jr and Harriet Clemons (Chesapeake), Early and Peaches Spencer (NY), Pastor Dwight and Deaconess Joyce Linyear (Chesapeake), Jonathan and Shelby Jones (Portsmouth), Deacon J.T. Clemons (Chesapeake), Martha Vann (Chesapeake), Marvin Clemons (MD), Judy Williams (NY), Jennetta Spencer (Norfolk), Shelia Johnson (Norfolk), four great aunts, 6 great uncles, two very special cousins, Cleodis Johnson Jr (C.J) (Norfolk), Rodney Holloman (DC), godmother Cathy Jarvis (Chesapeake), god sister Tonya Edmonds (Chesapeake), and a host of other relatives and friends. Beth had an infectious laugh & personality and a gigantic heart. She will surely be missed.
