On Monday, January 20, 2025. Our beloved loved one Ms. Bertha Lee Bowers (Aunt Bert/B.B.) gained her wings, to be with our Lord and Savior.
Ms. Bertha Lee Bowers was the youngest of her siblings born to the Late Mr. Floyd Bowers (Gennie) and the late Mrs. Annie Mae Bowers. Bertha was born July 20, 1948, in Halifax County, North Carolina where the family resided until the family moved to Suffolk, Virginia.
Bertha was educated in the Suffolk School System. Bertha’s journey into adulthood led her to venture up North to the State of New York, where she lived with family and friends until she was blessed with a place of her own. Bertha had landed a good job in the medical field of nursing as a Nurses Aide where she was known to be a hard worker. Bertha there afterward relocated back home to Suffolk where it all began.
Our beloved Bertha was the relative that you enjoyed being around because she kept you laughing when she wasn’t encouraging you to do your best. She was that one who said what came to her mind most definitely came out of her mouth, and Oh Boy could she say some things!! Our Bertha most of all Loved her family dearly even at times when we got on each other’s nerves, that family bond and love never changed but became stronger. Ms. Bertha Lee Bowers,

Ms. Bertha Lee Bowers never birthed any children of her own, so her sister and brother’s children were her children. Bertha leaves to cherish her loving memories all of her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, great-great-great nieces and nephews, and a host of loving cousins, and her special friend and caretaker, Mr. Fredrick Tillman.
