Beatrice Peaston Ambrose aka (BeBe) was born September 24, 1969, in St Louis, Missouri, to Marshella Dillon and Walter Ellis Jr. She attended Shining Light Pentecostal Church, where she was baptized at the age of 8. She attended Kirkwood Elementary and graduated from Kirkwood High School in May 1987. She attended community college, where she attained her associate degree. In 1993, she enlisted in the US navy, where she was stationed in Japan, and later the West Coast.  She then met and married Bruce Ambrose and then moved to Virginia Beach, Va. After retiring from the navy, Beatrice received her bachelor’s degree in psychology at the university of Maryland. She always enjoyed being around friends and family. She never let the grass grow under her feet. She loved to travel and enjoy different places around the world. Beatrice was an entrepreneur, owning her own online store. She also organized and ran a nonprofit business known as Glorious Crowns. She used the nonprofit business to donate head wraps and turbans to cancer patients who lost their hair due to treatment. In her free time, she also enjoyed shopping and thrifting. In 2022, she joined Dome of Canaan Baptist Church, where she was an active member until her passing. Beatrice was a woman who treasured being around others. She devoted much of her time to caring for the countless children in her community, who called her momma. She liked to host family events and show love to everyone. She had a heart that only God could give, and she was always ready to help anyone she could. Beatrice was diagnosed with lung cancer in October 2021, and in many ways the diagnosis made her stronger. She converted to herbalism, cutting out sugar and using only natural foods, along with making many other sacrifices along her journey.

She was preceded in death by her son; Joaquin Peaston, her husband; Bruce Ambrose, her brother; Dwann Dillon, and her father; Walter Ellis.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter; Julisha Ambrose, her son; Anthony Ambrose, her grandchild; Dakari Ambrose, her mother; Marshella Dillon, her sisters; Shelita Dillon and Cherese Fisher, her grandmother; Loretta Morris and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews and her special friend Joe Haizlip Jr.
