January 12, 2021 at 6:50 pmI Remember Mama in a Special Way
To the family of Mama Leach:
May U find comfort in the word of GOD for in the word of God we have a hiding place. Mother Leach taught me life’s most valuable lessons. To love God and his people.
She never met a stranger. She met people right where they were. She told me to always keep fifty dollars in my wallet. Stock up on staples, buy more than 1 can of soup.
She would say if your child can’t ask U, who do they ask? She told me I needed Triple-A so I got that and have had it for over 30 yrs. She told me to enroll in Verizon SSP (did that) she said U will need it 1 day.
She truly showed me what a real friend was like. She excepted me for me.
She loved German chocolate cake, corn beef, and cabbage, chicken, and dumpling, and I could add to those. She loved good food and plenty of it.
She would say to me to watch Charles Stanley on TV.
Through her aches and pains, she would always smile.
She said she woke up early in the morning so she wouldn’t miss
anything during the day. Sometimes she would let U have it only to turn around to help U out.
Her songs were soothing and she spoke with wisdom and excellency, but sometimes You would hear her say such words like PUT TIN, AND PUT TONE. YOU would know that was the mother coming out of her. She had the gift of service and operated in it well. Even though I didn’t see or talk with her often, we would just pick up where we left off.
I will miss her dearly. I am grateful for the lessons she taught me, now I can pass them on to others. I will always love her, she will always be in my heart.
My co-worker, my friend, Mama Leach.

January 13, 2021 at 11:40 amSister Leach was a special woman of God. She always had a pleasant smile and a kind heart for everyone, especially children. I remember when my 6 yr. old niece was crying; Sister Leach just stopped, hugged my niece, and talked with her about the issue. By the time the conversation was over, my niece was well and smiling. Sister Leach did not know my niece at all. She just saw a child crying and knew that a child needed some love.
Family, you have my sincerest condolences on the loss of your beloved. She was a beautiful Saint! God Bless You, and remember that it is an Honor before God to lay our loved ones to rest when we live in HIM!

January 15, 2021 at 8:28 amThis earthly realm has truly lost an angel! To us, Sister Barbara exemplified unconditional love, grace, and humility. Later on, as it was evident that she was very ill, she didn’t allow her body to impede her determination to give God His due, sincere praise and worship. I use “angel” intentionally because Sister Barbara Leach was a cherished elder, who guided with grace, redirected firmly, but embraced everyone with love and kindness. She was what we all envision in a godly mother/grandmother/godmother, or Nana! Rest in peace Mother, and we look forward to singing again on the streets of glory! To her family, we are praying for you and thank you for sharing Sis. Barbara. We are so much better for your gratuity! In His love, Darryl and Suprenia
