Barbara Ann Jones, affectionately known as TeeTee, Kitty Yo, and Kitten was a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She transitioned from this world on Monday, August 16, 2021. She was born in Franklin, VA on January 28, 1940.
She attended Portsmouth Public Schools and graduated from I.C. Norcom High School.
Barbara enjoyed dancing, socializing and being in the company of her family and friends. One of her most noticeable attributes is that young people gravitated towards her because she was so much fun, and she gave great advice. She had many friends because to know her was to love her.
Barbara is predeceased by her husband Douglas A. Jones, and her sister Essie Mae Stevenson.
She is survived by her brother Henry Terry and her five children Kathy Waters (Andre), Darlene Charmayne Butler (Clarence), Toni Chapman (Thomas), Kim L. Logan (Michael) and Shawn D Jones (Christal).
Barbara has a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
As the matriarch of her loving family, she will be greatly missed.
