Born October 25, 1952 received her heavenly wings January 12, 2020. She was the daughter of Beulah M. Davis, mother and Armps Bond, father; both deceased. She was educated in Norfolk Public Schools. Barbara was employed with Virginian Pilot for 37 years. She accepted Christ at an early age. She attended Faith Deliverance Christian Center.
Barbara was well known and loved by many. She was a loving wife to Joseph M. Johnson. They shared 32 lovely years together, married 11 of those years. She had a name that she was called by many “Big B”. Barbara was predeceased by three brothers; Marvin Davis, Robert Davis Jr., and Joseph Guy Davis. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Joseph M. Johnson; daughters, Betty Barnard and Kesha Wilkins-Barbour. Grandchildren, Nakira Barnard, JeNesha Wilkins and Aubrey Barbour.
Siblings; Dorothy Williams, Phyllis Haynes, Charles Davis, Matthew Davis, David Davis, Melissa Morris, Ronald Davis, Sharon Davis, Ethel Clark, Thomas Davis, Josephine Langley, Florence Serrano, Gloria Jean Faulks, Dennis Whitehurst Jr. and Janet Harvey, her best friend. Not sisters by blood but sisters by heart. In-Laws; James Johnson Jr., Michael Johnson, Artis Wallace, Diane Turner-Johnson and Cynthia Carman aka “Frances”. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Barbara loved playing cards and watching her favorite football team, The San Francisco 49ers.
