Audrey Marie Jones

Audrey Marie Jones was born on July 4, 1948, as a native of Alabama. She is the daughter of Late Ventress Bright and Willie Terrell. Audrey worked as a housekeeper and retired from Marjac Hotel for over 50 years, doing what she loves best. She loved dancing and socializing and loved her children and grandchildren. She was very keen on family and friends, especially her son-in-law, John Wilson, Jr. (Junie), always saying, “That’s my son-in-law.” She would give the shirt off of her back with lots of love. Fish and grits were her comfort food.

She leaves behind a legacy of memories. Her brother, Herman Bright, and his wife (Brenda Bright), her sister, Olivia Terrell. Also left to cherish her memory are her family, Wendy Jones-Wilson, her late son, Robert Jones, and a host of grandchildren, Wilbert & Brittany Jone, Devon Jones, Chaneyl Jones, husband (Zay) Cooper, Kymonya Jones, and a host of great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
