Audrey Mae Lynn

Sunrise: August 13, 1938

Sunset: May 30, 2018

God called one of his angels Audrey Mae Lynn home on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 Audrey Mae was born on August 13, 1938 to the late Mary Alice Barnes and James Edward. Audrey Mae worked at Chesapeake Health Care for over 14 years. She was a faithful member of New Galilee Baptist Church in Chesapeake where she served as an usher for over 30 years. Audrey Mae was a friend, sister and a wonderful mother. She was always there for her children when the chips were up or down. Audrey was a person that would stop whatever she was doing and listen to whatever you had to say. She was a great mother and a wonderful friend Audrey Mae didn’t have many material things to give, but she shared what she had. One thing she did have to give was plenty of love, which met a great deal to us. She was a person that always tried to give
110% when others did not. Sometimes we would wonder if she was an angel from heaven. With a mother like that in our lives nothing else mattered.

Left to cherish her memory are five children, Woodrow Lynn, Jr. (Cynthia) of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Linda Gilchrist (Terry)
of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Leroy Lynn of Chesapeake, Virginia Donnell Lynn (Patricia) of Chesapeake, VA, James Lynn of Virginia Beach, Virginia; one sister, Norma Jean Bernard of Corona, New York; granddaughter Tonya Harper of Chesapeake, Virginia; two great grandchildren, Devonta Thompson and Deshawan Lewis of Suffolk, Virginia. Many cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.

The death of a loved one is the most devastating experiences a family can face. At times, the loss may seem unbearable. Please know that there are those who care about you and your family during this difficult time and more importantly Psalm 34:18 tells us that “God is near to those that are broken at heart. We pray that Jehovah the God of all comfort is with the family during this difficult time of grief. Our prayers are with you and your family.
