Audrey Anita Carrington

Audrey Anita Carrington age 62, departed this life on Thursday, April 12, 2018. Audrey Anita Poole was born October 26, 1955, to the union of Mamie Selby and John Poole, Sr. in Norfolk, VA. At a young age she married the true love of her life Roy Carrington, Sr. in which this union was for 45 years. Audrey was a loving devoted wife and mother.

Her employment throughout the years was an Operator in 29 Palms, CA at the Marine Corp Base as well as at the Army Base in Illinois. She was employed with United Postal Service over 20 years and she also was commissioned with the state of Illinois where she held her own business as a Notary Signing Agent.

Audrey Carrington had the biggest heart that only one person could hold. She made it her business to be such a caring and loving person. She had a gift for giving. When they said “Girls are made of Sugar and Spice and everything Nice” these were the recipes Audrey Carrington was made of. Audrey was a very beautiful person to know. She loved cooking for her family
and making cakes. Her cakes where just as sweet as she was. Audrey would make her daily rounds of calling those dear to her heart regularly. You could always receive kind loving words, counseling and coaching, words of wisdom and sometime prayer and healing if that is what you needed.

Cherishing her memories is her loving husband Roy Carrington, Sr. of Volvo, IL, her daughter April Carrington of Volvo, IL, son Roy Carrington, Jr. (Sara) of Gilbert, AZ, two grandsons John and Jordan Carrington-Smith and one granddaughter Mikeala Gilmore, her niece Rashita Wilson and nephew Raymond of Virginia in whom she raised in Illinois. She had one living aunt, Brenda Carney as well as 4 sisters; Francine Small (Doug), Costeneah Putney (Greg), Vernell Reed Diane), Marie Johnson (Smitty), 6 brothers John Poole (Ruth), Charles Poole (Tracy), Chris Poole (Trisha), Vernon Poole (Tonya), Loedean Poole (Phyllis), Harry Poole (Carol), 4 sisters-in-law; Rosabel Morrison, Elaine Wilson, Shirley Jones, Carolyn Jones, Along with a host of nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews. Audrey Anita Carrington was proceeded by her father John Poole, Sr. and mother Mamie Selby.
