Artis Ray Stith was called home on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 while resting at Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA.

Artis was born on December 7, 1957 to the late Eloise Creekmore-Stith and James T. Stith. His roots are embedded in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia.

Ray loved his fashion. You would always catch him in the latest threads and name brands. Specifically, he loved watches. Rolex and Tissot watches were among his favorites. He was also a diehard Oakland Raiders and Los Angeles Lakers fan.  Whenever either one of them won, you would be sure to hear about it. Ray also loved his work. He retired from Virginia Paving (formerly Asphalt Roads) on February 5, 2020.

Ray loved all of his family, he is survived by his life partner, Collette DeLoatch; Children, Shelton Ray DeLoatch, Lauretta Wiliams, Rashawn Ruffin, LaShonda Ruffin; Stepchildren, Scherrelle DeLoatch, Jermaell DeLoatch; Sisters, Wanda Stith-McCoy, Gladys Stith-Robinson, Sheila Boone, Brenda Louise Stith-Obsorne; Brother, Tyrone Stith; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, step grandchildren, grandchildren, great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Ray is predeceased by Brothers, James Stith, Jr., Mark Stith; Sister, Ann Lee Dixon.
