Arthur Lee Few

Sunrise: January 19, 1958

Sunset: December 29, 2022

On Thursday, December 29, 2022, Arthur Lee Few was called peacefully to eternal rest. Arthur was born on January 19, 1958 to John and Rachel Few. Born in Shellman, Georgia on a cold sunny day, Arthur was affectionately called “Sunny” by family and friends. Both parents preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Louise Alford, and brother, Eddie C. Few.

After graduating from Randolph County Comprehensive High School, Arthur enlisted in the United States Army which he served for several years. After an honorable discharge, he settled in Norfolk where he earned a trade in electronics from ECPI. He began working at Montgomery Ward and served as an appliance technician for many years. In 2001, he started his appliance repair business, Fewman Service and Repair Network, and was honored to serve many in the Hampton Roads area. Arthur accepted Christ as his personal savior many years ago. He attended First Pentecostal United Holy Church where he faithfully served the Sound Room Ministry. Consistent with Christ-like principles, his most beloved roles were that of a loving husband and father. He coached his sons’ little league teams and was very involved in every aspect of his children’s life, from educational to athletic and extracurricular activities. Arthur left behind a plentiful harvest of memories that will be cherished and honored by survivors: his loving wife of 34 years, Tina Few; three children, Cameron Few (Karen), Tyrell Few, Aniya Few; a goddaughter, Lakenya Askew; and seven grandchildren. He is also survived by four sisters: Ernestine Lucas (William), Bonnie Brown (Jessie), Sandra Battle (John), Jacqueline Ball (Sam), five brothers: James Few (Renee), John S. Few, Jr., Willie A. Few, John J. Few, and Lee A. Few, and a host of family and friends. Arthur was an intelligent, well-respected man who offered an insightful perspective to any conversation and brought joy and happiness to all those he encountered. He will be sorely missed.

To the Few family. I send my deepest condolences. I met Arthur back in 2004 when I retired from the Navy and started doing appliance repair for Sears. He was such a great guy to talk to whenever we met at the parts store or working on a call together. He was a very humble and caring friend who will be dearly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time. The Kitt family
