Argina Fernandez

On March 31, 2020, God summoned home our beloved angel, mother, wife, Gigi, sister, niece aunt, and daughter from labor to rest.

Argina, lovingly known as “Gina” was born Valentine’s Day February 14, 1969 to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Etheridge Sr. She was predeceased by her mother Olivia Etheridge and brother Gary Etheridge.

Gina attended Norview High School. She was previously employed with Virginia Wesleyan University for 11 years and most recently with BJs Wholesale Club. She was a kind hearted but feisty person. She was known for telling it straight no chaser. Gina loved her grandbabies, enjoyed dancing, and eating crabs with family and friends.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Vincent Fernandez of Florida, daughter Ashley Roberts (Ed) of Suffolk, son Alex Fernandez of Korea, brothers Antonio Sanderson of Norfolk, Robert Etheridge Jr of Va. Beach, sisters Fonda Lopez (Fernando) of VA. Beach, and Terrie Etheridge (Elbert) of Norfolk. Two grandchildren Bailey and Carter Roberts and god son Gerald Thomas Jr. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousin and friends.

The family would like to express a heartfelt Thank you to the Sentara Leigh Hospital Nursing Staff. Additional Thank you to Sentara Hospice Care.
