Anthony Smith

On Wednesday, September 19, 2018, God released the burdens of Brother Anthony Smith from his earthly home. Anthony was born on October 28, 1946 to the late Frank Smith Jr. and Mrs. Annie Sugars Smith. Anthony grew up in the Oakwood  Community of Norfolk, where he attended public schools. After attending public schools in Norfolk, Anthony entered the Army and served a tour of duty in Germany. Anthony love to dance and entertain people, he had lots of friends. Anthony was very well liked by family and friends. He enjoyed dressing and wearing his suits and hats looking cool. in the summer he love to eat crabs with his friends. He will be greatly missed.

He was predeceased by his sister, Evelyn Beavers, his brother, Rogers Smith, one niece and one nephew. Anthony leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Mrs. Annie Sugars Smith, one sister; Ms. Janice Smith of Norfolk, one brother; Melvin Smith of Chesapeake, one niece and four nephews and a host of other friends and relatives.
