Annie (Mae ) Lamb-Gore
Knowing, Believing and Living
For 90 years, 1 month, and 1 day Annie lived a life of being lovely and being loved. And we all know she was so lovely because of that love.
Through the years it was abundantly clear that she knew, she believed, and she lived, as a child of God.
She knew
She knew she was loved as a daughter of the king, with her head held high and certainty in her stride.
She believed
She believed that she was empowered because He that was within her was greater than anything that is in the world.
She lived
She lived with a calm confidence to see good days whether or not it was apparent at the time.
And her journey was not an easy one. She endured some of the toughest blows life can land. But Annie would famously always rise. She rose as a daughter, a mother, a sister, and a friend to all of us. And she continues to rise with a defiant joy because her God shows her His goodness each morning. Psalm 143:8
Hers is a life that gives us all hope. May we honor her legacy of strength as she abided as a branch on God’s vine. John 15:4
May we honor her history of thoughtful consideration in decision making knowing all things permissible but not profitable. 1 Corinthians 10:23
May we honor that she knew she was a child of God both fearfully and wonderfully made. Psalm 139:14
May we honor that she believed that joy comes in the morning. Psalm 30:5
And may we honor that she lived like she had none to fear because the Lord was her light and salvation. Psalms 27:1
Annie was a woman as strong as she was lovely, and I can only hope and pray that we can carry the torch of light she left us with, with as much grace and flair she did.

February 5, 2021 at 9:59 amI am thankful God granted me the opportunity to be a small part of your life. I don’t know of a time that I was in your presence, at church or in your home that you did not make me feel loved . And even after moving away, any time I returned to the Lamb house your love was once again on full display. Take your rest Ms. Annie.

February 3, 2021 at 9:33 amMy deepest sympathy to the family. While I haven’t known Cynthia and Joseph Gardner long,(Joseph – my work buddy) I do know this, Ms. Annie Lamb Gore will be missed as I have heard about her and the love that Cynthia and Joseph shared with her. I know both are so heartbroken and lost right now, but God will see them thru! And one day – you will all be reunited. I am praying for comfort and strength as you heal from your loss.

February 3, 2021 at 10:01 pmAn amazing seamstress, cook and flower gardener. Raised 13 children and played a hand in several grands… We had amazing cookouts on the forth of July and big spreads at Christmas… Annie and Bill were quite a team, keeping us togather, laughing and celebrating life… Both gone to heaven but never forgotten by us. What will this next chapter look like, I hope we see it togather as a family

February 3, 2021 at 11:00 pmI was telling my mom(Tina) I am blessed to say I literally had the best grandmother(Granny as I called her) I loved to hear her say Hey Tiffy. She never made me feel as if she judged me, never made me feel uncomfortable, made sure she told me she was proud of me. Honestly of my 35 years of being her grand daughter I only recall her yelling at me once and that was for picking her flowers lolz I love her so much!!!!!!!!!
