Anna Beatrice Harrison Rosario was born on January 17th, 1932, the tenth and youngest child of Joseph A Robinson and Willianna Simms Robinson in Harlem, New York. She went to be with the Lord on March 30th, 2020.
Shortly after graduation from high school she became employed with the City of New York. Her excellent stenography and typing skills served her well as she moved up in civil service. She became an administrative assistant at Marine and Aviation, later named Ports and Terminals where she worked until she retired.
She worked tirelessly to provide for her three children, taught us to love and honor God, ingrained in us the King’s English and a love of reading and word puzzles.
As a young girl she learned how to play the piano and loved singing all types of music. She sang with the Bethel Tabernacle Choir for years as well as taught Bible Studies at Bethel Bible Institute for twenty-five years. Some of her students were convinced her tests were designed by the other side, but they kept coming back for more of her challenging classes.
In 1986 she met Frank Rosario and after a short time they married. They shared their love of the Lord and enjoyed many trips, and cruises. She left Bethel Tabernacle to join St. Catherine of Sienna where once again she became a member of the Senior Choir.
She came to live in Virginia Beach with her daughter Jeanne in 2018.
She was predeceased by her husband of thirty- two years, Francisco (Papi) Rosario, her daughter Diane Michelle Harrison Staton, and her granddaughter Joni Cofield-Murphy.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Jeanne Marie Harrison-Hutchins, her loving son, Rodney Harrison, Sr. (Glynis), her step-daughter Delma Rosario, her niece Adel Ogletree, and fifteen grandchildren, Nigeria Worthington, (Warren); Darren Cofield, Malcolm Hutchins, (Sheela); Andrew Cochran, Dyani Malone, Nicole Bayer, (Dwayne); Matthew Hutchins, Rodney Harrison II, (Candacy); Chanel Harrison, Zuri Hutchins, (Karina); Gylise Harrison, Iman Harrison, Sierra Staton, and Noah Staton; twenty six great- grandchildren and one great, great-grandchild.

January 4, 2025 at 12:28 amGrandma Rosario was an entire song that we sang and we would get so excited to visit with her. She took me to piano lessons long after realizing I did not inherit her beautiful gift of music, only her humor. How I love this woman.
