Evangelist Angela Brooks Williams affectionately known as “Gutty” to some and Na-Na to others was born May 20th, 1951 in Chesapeake Virginia to the late Rev. Leroy and Eva Lee Brooks.  She passed on October 27, 2021 at home peacefully surrounded by her love ones.
Angela attended Chesapeake Public Schools and grew up in the Crestwood Community. Angela retired in 2008 at which time she became a full time foster parent for The Up Center were she continued her passion caring for children.
Angela accepted Christ at a early age. A devoted Missionary who served as Pastor Aid, Usher and Youth Coordinator. Angela attended Red Oak Grove A.M.E. Zion until she was no longer strong enough to physically attend.
Angela was predeceased in death by her Sister, Charlene Beamon, Brothers, Leslie Wilson, Leroy Brooks Jr and Rickey Brooks.

She leaves to cherish in her memory Her Son Eric Dent, Daughters Jacqueline Knight(Kevin) Josette Lewis (Brian) Daughter in Love Felicia Howard (Clifton) Four Brothers, Donald Brooks , Alfonzo Brooks(Tracey) and Hubert Brooks(Darlene) One Loving Sister, Leola Brooks. Fifteen Grandchildren, Nine, Great Grandchildren, Nineteen Adoptive and Foster children, Ten Godchildren a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Angela was loved by all and will be truly cherished.
