Andreau Louise Johnson was born on May 10, 1950, in Chesapeake, Virginia, and passed away peacefully on August 30, 2024. She was the daughter of Marie Green and Deree Smith. Andreau accepted Christ at a young age. She attended Carver High School and later married Robert A. Johnson. The two of them made their home and raised their family in Chesapeake.
For over thirty years, Andreau dedicated herself to a successful career in the banking industry, where her hard work, integrity, and kindness touched the lives of her coworkers and customers. She retired in 2007, enjoying time with her family and friends.
Affectionately called “Nana” by her grandchildren, Andreau cherished every moment spent with her family. Her greatest pleasure was in giving and bringing happiness to others. She enjoyed cooking and gathering her family and friends together for memorable holiday celebrations, creating cherished traditions that will live on forever in their hearts.
Andreau will be remembered for her generosity, her warm smile, her contagious laughter, and the love she shared with everyone around her. Her legacy lives on through her family and the many lives she impacted during her lifetime.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her devoted husband, Robert A. Johnson; three children: Andrea Yvette Hoskie, Rudolph Jones, Jr. (Monique), and Cedric D. Jones, all of Chesapeake; seven grandchildren: Courtney Skyles, Chelsey Mayes (Anthony), Parris Jones, Marquelle Jones, Demi White (Anthony), Michaela Jones, and Sanje Jones; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters: Sandra Harvey, Ella Mae Wilson, and Margaret Coleman; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

September 5, 2024 at 5:08 pmMy dearest Cousin Louise,
Sorry to hear about your passing and we have been talking every Christmas Eve for the last 40 years. I will miss hearing your voice, enthusiasm and grace. A virtuous woman that loved her family and the Lord. Have a peaceful journey and my God give the entire family that peace which passeth all understanding.
