Andrea attended Norfolk Public Schools and was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, who loved to cook elaborate meals and took pride in maintaining family traditions by hosting holiday socials and events. She worked at Rowena’s for over 20 years as a recipe creator and tearoom hostess – deemed “Lady Andrea of Britton”. I am sorry to hear of the passing of Mrs. Britton. I have known Mrs. Britton since I was in elementary school. Later as an adult, I would stop by sometimes unannounced to talk. She was always welcoming. Wherever I saw her, she was always the same, smiling and made you feel that she was glad to see you no matter how much time had passed. Such a kind person. My prayers will be with the family during this difficult time.

My condolences to the Britton family. I worked with Andrea at Rowenas. During our time there we shared many laughs. We often said she reminded us of Maya Angelo. Her wisdom, mannerism, and family values was very much a part of the Rowenas family. May God’s comfort rest upon the family as we lift you in prayer.
