On Tuesday, September 22, 2020, Andra Maurine Williams entered into eternal rest. Andra was educated in the Norfolk Public School System and obtained her BS degree from Norfolk State College. She worked at Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth for 17 years, where she met her “her darling” (as she often spoke of him). and the love of her life, husband Curlee. Their union of 37 years brought forth 3 children, Corey, Shannon, and Crystal Williams, whom will forever cherish and honor their mother’s legacy.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charlie L. and Virginia E. Warren, and brother Michael Warren. She leaves lasting memories to her brother, Charlie L. Warren Jr. (Celia) of Lemoore, CA; three sisters, Gwendolyn Spruill (John Henry) of Chesapeake, Linda Warren-Parker of Virginia Beach, and Katrina Hardy-Pace (Quinton) of Suffolk; grandchildren Isaiah, Kyrie, Makhi, and Corey; her dearest aunt Barbara Hardy of Chesapeake; goddaughter Kendra and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Those of us who knew Andra Maurine shall remember her love for cooking for her family and sharing recipes; taking care of her plants and flowers; talking about and watching over her grandchildren, and checking in on loves ones and friends to make sure everyone was doing okay. She had a beautiful doll collection. In keeping with her parents tradition, she had to have “fresh fish” on Friday. Last, but not least, she was a die heart, win or lose, Philadelphia Eagles fan.
