“Therefore the redeemed of the Lord shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.” Isaiah 51: 11 (KJV)

“Just Look At Me Now,” by Carole Ann Walton

Just look at me now, and think it not strange. The cares of this life have all been exchanged. Upon Angel’s wings I took my last flight. I’m enjoying my new home in Heavenly Heights. These luxuries of life shall be no more. My Heavenly Father had much more in store. My “echoes” of laughter will softly be heard. My lessons on life I trust you have learned. I’ll take my sweet rest from these labors galore. One day I’ll hear you knock on God’s glorious doors!

To the Family of Alphonso Hawkins (Sneaky). My heart has been heavy since hearing the news of his passing. I have so many fond and wonderful memories of Sneaky. They started when he was a young boy helping out around my father’s drug store, Webb’s Pharmacy on Liberty Street in the Berkley section of Norfolk. He was indispensable in helping out with running errands, working at the fountain or anywhere he might be needed. Sneaky was truly loved and respected by my family and everyone who knew him.
May the love of Jesus be your peace, comfort and strength in the days and months that lay ahead. With sincerity and Christian love, Josephine Webb Linyear

“Sneaky” as I knew him as we grew up together in Berkley so many years ago, commanded respect and admiration even as a young man. We worked together at Webb’s pharmacy where he was Doc’s right hand man. My sincerest condolences to the family. Although I had not seen, or spoken with him in many years he will always hold a bright spot in my personal memory and will be sorely missed.

Aunt Jackie and Family heartfelt condolences are sent to you. I love you and I will be praying for peace and comfort during the loss of Uncle Al. Know that our Father in Christ makes no mistakes and he saw it was time to call one of his greatest children home. Sitting thinking of all the great times we all had in Berkley. I will never forget how he use to give the children including me snacks from Dr Webb’s on Liberty Street, how he took me for a ride on his motorcycle when he first got it . He surely will be missed. We Love you Uncle AL rest in Peace.
