November 14, 2020 at 10:26 pmOh, Al…… My heart aches. You were so many things. Beautiful and strong. Sharp-minded and a daydreamer. Brilliant and humorously bratty (probably one of your best traits). I’m so sorry this happened to you, and I’m so sorry your loved ones had to lose you. You once told me some of the best things your mom taught you. In the same way, one day your children will tell others the best things you taught them. Out of the many things I’ll never forget about you, one of them is that you never complained about your life. Not once. If anyone asked how you were, your response was always “I’m lovely”. Every single time. “I’m lovely”. You certainly were, Al. You were absolutely lovely. I’m hurting to have lost you, but happy to have known you. May God plant sweet kisses all over your face and welcome you home.
