Allen Bonneau, Sr.

Allen Bonneau, Sr., son of the late Ben Wright and Martha Bonneau was born May 18, 1936, in Charleston, South Carolina.  He departed this life on October 13, 2021.

He was educated in the Charleston, South Carolina Public School System.  After which he joined the United States Marine Corps and first served as a Tank Expert.  Later he fulfilled his goal of becoming a Phantom Fighter Jet Aviation Mechanic during the Vietnam era.  Serving his country for 30 honorable years, Allen became a successful leader, earning the inspiring rank of E-9 / Sergeant Major in the United States Marine Corps.

Upon retirement, Allen pursued his next adventure of being a chauffeur to the stars in Hollywood, California. Later returning to his true passion in the aviation world with NASA-McDonnell Douglas.  Here he shined by showcasing his expertise and support efforts with the space shuttle at Edwards Air Force Base, California.

Allen’s personality was infectious and easily loved by all.  With a zest for life he enjoyed his family, friends, bowling, dancing, deep sea fishing and traveling the world.  As a member of the Armed Forces, Sergeant Major Allen Bonneau recognized he was connected to an elite team and one he honored…. “The Few, The Proud, The Marines”,

He was preceded in death by his second wife, Linda Bonneau; one son, Cecil Bonneau and one brother, Thaddeus Wright.  Left to cherish his precious memories are his three daughters, Ellen Stokes, Renee’ Bonneau and Debra Bonneau; one son, Allen Bonneau, Jr.; first wife, Helen Bonneau; two sisters, Albertha Wright and Laura White; three brothers, Ben Bonneau, John Wright and Leonard Wright.  He is also survived by seven grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, three great, great grandchildren and a host of wonderful relatives and friends.

      My uncle AL was always a bright personality and a joyful person to be around. His love for his family and dedication and service to this country will not be forgotten. God blessed us all with his presence in our lives and my uncle leaves us on this side of eternity with some fond memories. Rest peacefully Unc. Until we see each other again. Praying that the Lord will Grace the hearts all of my cousins with peace. May He wipe the tears from your eyes now and in His presence forever. I love you all.

    To the family of Mr.Bonneau. I am truly sorry for your loss. I don’t know all of you but I do know my friend Ellen. She and I along with 8+ millions know that your dad and brother is now in God’s memory. Mr Bronneau will one day be awakened from his sleep in death. Please believe what our Creator said. He cannot lie. Titus 1:2 Job14:14,15 He gave his most precious son Jesus in our behalf. Take comfort in knowing that God cares about you and your family. 1 Peter5:7

    Condolences to the Bonneau family. It is never easy coping with the loss of a loved one. May Jehovah comfort you all as remember the life of your beloved father and friend. Take comfort in Jehovah’s promises knowing that he will wipe away your tears, sorrow and pain. (Revelation 21:4).
