On Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 2:00am, the Lord dispatched his angel to Sentara Nursing Center, Chesapeake, Virginia and whispered in his ear that it’s time to come home. Allan Lloyd McFarland was born on July 31, 1955 in Norfolk, Virginia to William and Thelma McFarland. He was the third child born of this union. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Thelma McFarland; brother, Roland McFarland and sister, Rachel White.
He leaves to cherish his memories his brother, Mark (Karen) McFarland; sister, Regina Thomas; aunt, Ethelene Jones; a special niece, Tonia Heckstall and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Allan had a gentle, kind, and caring spirit. He was a devoted friend, brother, and pet parent to his dog, Onyx. He enjoyed fishing, karate, listening to music, watching boxing events, pencil drawings and taking care of his hair. His late night “just because he wanted to talk” calls to his brother Mark will truly be missed.
REST IN PEACE BROTHER-WE LOVE YOU! UNTIL WE SEE YOU AGAIN IN GLORY!
