Alice O. Spratley-Watson, 43, of Portsmouth, Virginia, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2025.
Born on November 29, 1981, in Portsmouth, Alice was the beloved daughter of Gwendolyn Spratley and Prince Cobb. She spent her life in the city where she was born, growing into a woman known for her radiant spirit and generous heart.
Alice was united in marriage to Alvin Watson. She was a devoted mother to five children: A’kira Dukes, Dominic Spratley, Kavon Dukes, Tashara Boyd, and Terrell Boyd. Her love extended to her four cherished grandchildren, who brought endless joy and pride into her life.
Alice was a free-spirited soul who embraced life with a contagious joy and warmth. Known for her sweet and kind nature, she had a heart big enough for everyone. Whether offering a helping hand or simply sharing a smile, Alice had a way of making others feel seen and loved. She would give you her heart if she could, and in many ways, she did.
Alice’s presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and strength lives on in her children, grandchildren, and all those who carry her memory in their hearts.
